Italian fashion company Calzedonia takes German HQ in Düsseldorf

Italian fashion label Calzedonia SPA, advised by Savills, has strengthened its presence in Germany with the acquisition of 400 sq m of office space at Neuer Zollhof 3, in Düsseldorf’s harbour district from a Norwegian fund landlord.

The Neuer Zollhof is part of the landmark Gehry building complex which was completed in 1999.  The attractive and internationally-acclaimed development consists of three similar but unique buildings at different heights and angles.

Panajotis Aspiotis, regional director of office agency at Savills Germany, says: “This letting shows another important international company has chosen Düsseldorf’s harbour district for its German headquarters, joining firms such as Tommy Hilfiger, L’Oreal and Vodafone.  This is a reflection of the area’s growing importance as a business hub.”

In March Savills represented the fashion retailer in the letting of two new Calzedonia stores in Essen for its Calzedonia (hosiery and beachwear) and Tezenis (underwear, beachwear and hosiery) labels.  The Intimissimi (underwear) and Falconeri (knitwear) labels are also part of the Calzedonia Group. The fashion company now has eight stores across Germany.
